Unemployment statistically higher in November

Indiana Department of Workforce Development in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has released its November 2013 unemployment report. According to the report, the unemployment rate in Huntington County stands at 6.8% for November, slightly higher than the 6.5% October rate.
"Huntington County began the year at 9.4%, so the November rate of 6.8% is very encouraging news for us," said
Mark Wickersham, executive director, Huntington County Economic Development.
"This report indicates 161 more people in the overall workforce in November compared to October and 87 new jobs," he added. "Even though the unemployment rate increased, so did the number of new jobs. Thus, the increase in unemployment is a statistical issue, not a trend."
