Mark Wickersham is the Executive Director of the Huntington County Economic Development Corporation. He comes to Huntington County after having served with the Indiana Secretary of Commerce as the Northeast Regional Director for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
Mr. Wickersham has experience as a commercial lender for a Community Based Bank. He has also served nearly fifteen years with two different Members of Congress and was a motorcade coordinator/driver with former United States Vice President Dan Quayle.
He is in his fourth year with Huntington County Economic Development. Agency clients have committed to creating nearly 1,200 new jobs and the retention of 1,700 existing jobs supported by investments totaling over $130,000,000.00. These projects have helped Huntington County's unemployment picture improve by 44% since it's peak in June of 2009 and have re-developed nearly 1,400,000 square feet of formerly vacant industrial properties.
Wickersham earned a BA in History from Huntington College with honors in 1985. His wife, Anita, is a tenured faculty member at Huntington University and is a CPA and holds an MBA from Ball State University. Their son, Andrew, is a freshman at Huntington University.
