ALH Building Systems completes building improvements, creates jobs

The Huntington County Board of Commissioners and other guests helped ALH Building Systems of Markle, Indiana, celebrate the completion of $180,000 worth of improvements to its Markle manufacturing plant today.

The project allows ALH to retain 113 existing jobs. The company has also recently added 5 new positions and continues to accept applications at this time.

ALH Building Systems' owner Kevin Cossairt thanked the county for its assistance. He said his family had been in business since 1960 in Markle. The company installed new fire suppression equipment throughout its nearly 50,000 square foot facility, allowing the company to continue operating the facility and better positioning the plant for additional growth.

Indiana State Senator Travis Holdman also congratulated the company and offered his encouragement to the Huntington County Economic Development team.  Mark Wickersham, executive director, Huntington County Economic Development, was excited to report that the agency has used nearly 150 yards of red ribbon this year for the announcement of completed projects and was starting a new roll of ribbon for the celebration at ALH Building Systems.

The Huntington County Board of Commissioners approved a grant of CEDIT funds to support 38% of the project costs and presented the company with a check at the celebration.
