Tax Abatement Approved as Novae Considers Expansion

The Markle Town Council approved a tax abatement in support of Novae Corporation as the company prepares for an investment of $5.3 million to grow at their location in Markle.

The Company disclosed their project concept to the Town Council at their meeting in June.  The proposal could create as many as 32 additional employees.  The Town Council unanimously approved the request.  The project is proposed on land originally prepared for development by the Huntington County Economic Development Corporation (HCUED) with the support of both the Huntington County Council and Huntington County Commissioners.

Earlier this year the Town Council approved the annexation and re-zoning of an additional eighty (80) acres with the assistance of HCUED and the agency continues to hold an Option on fifty (50) acres available for development.
