Lutheran Medical Group celebrates ribbon cutting for new Roanoke clinic

Leaders from the Lutheran Medical Group, Lutheran Health Network, Lutheran Health Physicians, the Town of Roanoke, Huntington County Commissioners and Huntington County Economic Development were on hand today to celebrate the opening of Lutheran Medical Group's new Family Practice Clinic in Roanoke, Indiana. Ground was broken for the $1.2 million facility in June 2012, and today, the facility began treating patients.

The 7,234 square-foot facility nearly doubles the size of Lutheran Medical Group's former Roanoke office. The new location at 280 Commercial Street, Roanoke, Indiana, features exam, lab and procedure rooms in a beautiful new building with convenient patient parking.

The County Commissioners assisted the developers with a grant of $100,000 in support of the investment.

"Economic development is a team effort, and it's been my pleasure to work with the team at Lutheran, Sperry Van Ness Parke Group, the Town of Roanoke and Huntington County Commissioners," said Mark Wickersham, executive director, Huntington County Economic Development. "This has been a wonderful collaboration and would not have happened without a team of officials. In Huntington County, we want to be an employer's best friend, not their worst nightmare."
