Lutheran Medical Group Breaks Ground in Roanoke

Roanoke, Indiana --

Leaders from the Lutheran Health Network, Lutheran Medical Group, the Town of Roanoke, Huntington County Government and Huntington County Economic Development broke ground for a new facility to serve the community of Roanoke, Indiana.  The $1.2 million facility is anticipated to open later this year.

The new facility will be eighty percent larger than their existing facility and will offer not only modern accomodations, convenient parking for patients, but also updated facilities for lab work and a medical procedures room.  Dr. Jeffrey Witt will continue as the Lutheran Medical Group's full-time family medicine physician for Roanoke.  The practice will include four additional employees and will offer additional physicians and care as the patient needs arise.

"The economic development community of Huntington County is very excited and honored that Lutheran Medical Group has furthered its commitment to Roanoke and we're here to support the success of this project," said Mark Wickersham, Executive Director of Huntington County Economic Development.

The new Roanoke location on Commercial Street will be visible and easily accessible from U.S. 24.  The developer is Sperry Van Ness/Parke Group and the general contractor will be Bob Buescher Homes.  The Lutheran Medical Group is the largest member of  Lutheran Health Physicians, an alliance of Lutheran Health Network owned physician practices that includes St. Joseph Medical Group, Kosciusko Medical Group, Bluffton Physicians Services and Dukes Medical Group.
