Huntington Leaders Present UB/IOOF Project for Regional Cities Consideration

Huntington Mayor Brooks Fetters was joined by Huntington University President, Dr. Sherilyn Emberton and Pathfinder Services CEO, John Neiderman and several other community leaders in requesting a grant from the Indiana Regional Cities Initiative in support of the Huntington downtown revitalization project referred to locally as the UB/Odd Fellows Block.

The project, designed by Anderson Partners, of Indianapolis, includes market-rate loft housing units, retail space, and program space for both Huntington University and Pathfinder Services.  Project costs are estimated at $8,039,888.00 and includes a grant request of the Regional Development Authority in the amount of $1,607,978.00.

Members of the Regional Development Authority, meeting in Geneva, Indiana on November 15, took the grant request under advisement.
