Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly Publishes Encouraging News About Huntington County

 

The Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly published two articles in their July 28, 2017 print addition which included very encouraging information about Huntington County.

 

Both of the front page stories were reporting on research about the Northeast Indiana Region.  One article discussed population growth and the other home sales statistics.  The population article includes a chart, sourced to the U.S Census Bureau, indicating the population of Huntington County grew 4.05% between 1990 and 2015. This would reflect the largest growth percentage in Huntington County since a similar period between 1859 and 1870.

 

The second article on page one, regarding home sales, includes a chart indicating an increase of 14.3% in the number of homes purchased compared to the same year to date statistics from 2016, sourcing the 

Indiana Association of Realtors.

 

"Huntington County is a vibrant place to live, work, and raise a family.  It's encouraging to see media sources releasing positive data about our Community," said Mark Wickersham, executive director of the Huntington County Economic Development Corporation.
