Employment Picture Improves in February March 31, 2015 Report The Indiana Department of Workforce Development has released the February Unemployment Report. The rate for Huntington County in was 5.9%. The report covers the period from January 11 – February 10, 2015. This compares to 6.4% one year ago and is slightly below the current State-wide average of 6.1%. According to the report, 151 fewer Huntington County residents were unemployed in February as compared to January and 59 additional residents found jobs. Generally, the February 2015 rate of 5.9% compared with 6.4% in February of 2014, is an indication that our employment picture remains strong and trending favorably.
