Economic Development Team Celebrates PHD Investment June 3, 2025 Report PHD, Inc., welcomed the Huntington County Commissioners and other members of the economic development team in celebrating the recent completion of a $3 million investment made by the Company to expand production capacity and retain jobs at their Huntington facility. PHD, an acronym for "pnuematic, hydraulic, development," started in 1957 and has grown to a company with 136 unique product series, serving 100 industries in the automotive, food & beverage, medical and packaging world on a global scale. The Company's highly precise products and unlimited customization capabilities distinguish PHD's unique place in the market. They provide fast automation solutions which enhance the manufacturing capabilities and ultimately the competitiveness of their clients. Among the Company's earliest product "break-throughs" was an "actuator-design" which ultimate led to the commercial production of plastic bottles."PHD is a tremendous corporate citizen and we're really excited about their growth and continued investments in Huntington County," said Mark Wickersham, executive director for the Huntington County Economic Development Corporation.
