$1.3 Million Dollar Learning Center Project Groundbreaking

October 7, 2015 was the official groundbreaking ceremony for the Huntington County Community Learning Center.  The $1.3 million dollar project includes a 29,306 square foot addition to the building currently housing the Huntington County Community School Corporation's Vocational Education Center.

The project is a collaboration among numerous donors from the public, private, non-profit and educational sectors.  When completed, the project will also house an office for WorkOne Northeast and Ivy Tech Community College Northeast.  Training programs, many of which are specifically designed by the industrial community donors themselves, will include welding, CNC machining, industrial maintenance, electronics, certified nurses aide, and emergency medical technician and other certification opportunities via a collaboration with Ivy Tech and WorkOne.

Construction is anticipated to be completed by July of 2016.
