Reber Enterprises of Huntington Acquires the Lime City Mfg Company

Reber Enterprises, LLC., of Huntington, Indiana recently acquired the Lime City Manufacturing Company, also of Huntington.  The announcement of the acquisition was made at the January meeting of the Lime City Committee of the Huntington County Economic Development Corporation.

The Lime City Manufacturing Company was founded in Huntington in 1941.  Reber Enterprises has announced they will continue to not only do business using the Lime City brand but will also retain the company in Huntington.  Mandy Reber, the majority owner, and her husband Cory, are well known entrepreneurs in Huntington.  The couple owns Reber Repair (automotive service) and Mandy serves as the executive director for the Boys & Girls Club of Huntington, having recently opened a $3 million expansion.  Mandy will continue serving in that capacity.

"The economic development team is very excited by the acquisition," said Mark Wickersham, executive director.  Other industries were interested in buying the Lime City Manufacturing Company and would have likely move it to a different State," he said.  "This company could have very easily left town.  Our Community is very lucky Mandy and Cory live here and have been such a big part of helping people in Huntington.  And now they've made this investment, too!.  They are wonderful corporate citizens and have a Community which truly cares about their success," Wickersham concluded.

Mayor Brooks Fetters and Larry Buzzard, president of the Huntington County Board of Commissioners were both on hand to extend their congratulations.  Both the City and County offered assistance to retain the company in Huntington.
