March unemployment rate drops slightly in Huntington County
 
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development has released its March 2013 unemployment report. The rate for Huntington County stands at 9.1%, down slightly from February's 9.2%. 
 
"Given the adjustments in the overall labor force, employment numbers etc., the report is statistically unchanged," said Mark Wickersham, executive director, Huntington County Economic Development. "Economic growth is being challenged by several dynamics, preventing the jobs picture from significantly changing. Generally, the picture has stabilized significantly since the unemployment peak in June 2009."
