Local High School Guidance Counselors Connecting With Local Industries

The Huntington County Community Learning Center, in cooperation with local employers and economic development partners, facilitated visits for Huntington North High School Guidance Counselors at five local industries.  Sportsmobile, Inc., Isolatek International, Continental Structural Plastics, Incipio Devices, Inc., and Irving Materials/Erie Stone, hosted four Huntington North High School Guidance Counselors on December 5 as part of both the school's college and career readiness initiatives, and a general effort to better connect employers with the school corporation.
 
Tiffanney Drummond, director of career and technical education for Huntington North High School took the lead in organizing the tours, emphasizing the importance of helping guidance counselors have an even better working knowledge of the job and career opportunities available in Huntington.
