August Unemployment at 3.4%

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, has released the August Unemployment Report.  The rate for residents of Huntington County was listed at 3.4%.  The August rate is down slightly from 3.7% which was the rate both one month ago as well as one year ago.

According to job posting site, Indeed.com, over 700 jobs are available within a 10 mile radius of Huntington.  The data released by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development reports 666 residents of Huntington County were without a job furing the reporting period.
