City Council Approves Tax Abatement for Innovative Packaging Company April 13, 2022 Report The Common Council for the City of Huntington unanimously approved a five-year tax abatement for Innovative Packaging Company, of Huntington, Indiana, at the Council Meeting of April 12, 2022. Company officials explained they are considering an investment of $2,000,000.00 for new manufacturing equipment. The investment should create five (5) new jobs while retaining forty-five (45) incumbent workers. "Huntington is very fortunate to have corporate citizens like Innovative Packaging. They are a second generation, family-owned leader in their industry and have always been committed to Huntington," said Mark Wickersham, executive director for the Huntington County Economic Development Corporation. "It was a pleasure consulting with the Company to help them through the abatement process and really appreciate City Council voting unanimously to help.
