Bendix grand opening celebrates new product line and business unit

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC hosted an August grand opening celebration, marking a new line of products and business unit. The new Bendix Brake Shoe Remanufacturing Center, or Bendix Reman, employs 65 people. This $3.2 million investment involved redesigning a 74,000 square-foot building.

Bendix Reman now handles the complete salvage, coning and assembly process necessary for the start-to-finish remanufacturing of used brake shoes to their original factory engineering and quality standards. Overall, Bendix, a division of German-owned Knorr-Bremse, employs nearly 600 people in Huntington, with Huntington serving as the company’s primary North American assembly and distribution center.
