Huntington (17,000) the county seat of Huntington County (38,000) is located in northeast Indiana. It is 25 miles southwest of Ft. Wayne, 90 miles north of Indianapolis, and 150 miles southwest of Detroit. US 24, an interstate connector highway, runs through the community and intersects with I-69, 12 miles to the east of the city. It is 20 minutes from Ft. Wayne International Airport. Inside the city limits on the east side of Huntington. It is bordered on the north by US 24, a divided highway, and on the south by Norfolk Southern Railroad. Thurman Poe Way serves as an improved access road from US 24.
