Huntington County Economic Development is your ally in site selection and development. A nonprofit organization created by the business community in 1997, we provide businesses with many of the services they need for start-up, expansion, relocation, incentives and workforce development.

To maintain a unified economic development effort throughout Huntington County in order to promote opportunities for new job creation and capital investment in Huntington County

HCED is an approved tax-exempt organization under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3).  

Recent accomplishments
Since 2008, more than 40 companies have enhanced the economic climate of Huntington County, Indiana—thanks, in large part, to an economic development process that makes doing business easy. In fact, during the recent Great Recession, our clients managed to:
  • Create nearly 2,000 new jobs
  • Retain nearly 7,000 existing jobs
  • Improve the employment picture 44%
  • Secure investments exceeding $150 million
  • Welcome international giants from Asia, Europe and South America
  • Redeveloped over 2 million square feet (or 94%) of vacant industrial properties
